Showcasing some of the finest country and Americana songwriting talent from across the UK and beyond, The Jackson Line proudly host the Radio City Sessions—intimate Nashville-style songwriters' rounds where every song comes with a story.
In front of a limited audience, artists perform their music stripped back to its purest form: one guitar, one voice and complete honesty. Between songs they reveal where the ideas came from, how they were written and the moments that inspired them. It's part concert, part conversation and entirely unforgettable.

Why a songwriters’ round?
Unlike a traditional gig, a songwriters' round puts the stories at the heart of the performance. Artists take turns sharing songs, the inspiration behind them and the moments that shaped them, joining in on each other's music along the way. It's relaxed, spontaneous and deeply personal—offering audiences a rare insight into the craft of songwriting that has made Nashville writers' rounds famous around the world.
Hosted at Hot Box Live Events in Chelmsford, Radio City Sessions has welcomed award-winning songwriters, charting artists and exciting emerging talent from across the UK, North America and beyond. The sessions have also travelled to venues including The Country Café in Ingatestone and Sudbury Arts Centre, introducing new audiences to the unique experience of a Nashville-style writers' round.
With audiences deliberately kept small, every performance feels less like a concert and more like being invited into the conversation. No two evenings are ever the same, with unexpected harmonies, spontaneous solos, fresh arrangements, laughs and unforgettable collaborations creating moments that simply can't be recreated.

Since launching in 2021, Radio City Sessions has welcomed award-winning songwriters, charting artists and internationally acclaimed performers from across the UK, North America and beyond.
From Alyssa Bonagura, co-writer of country hits recorded by Jana Kramer, Jo Dee Messina and Steven Tyler, to Juno Award-winning producer Murray Pulver, every session brings together artists with remarkable stories and exceptional songs.
Our stage has also featured Bob Harris Emerging Artist Award winners Jonny Morgan and Robbie Cavanagh, US singer-songwriter Jeremy McComb, whose music has reached the Billboard country charts, The Shires collaborator Katie Rae, and ASCAP Award winner Glen Mitchell, co-writer of Livin' Our Love Song—a Top 5 Billboard country hit and one of the most-played country radio singles of 2007.
